Winnipeg, MB. I’ll shoot just about anywhere…especially if it’s at a lake or cabin.
Just saying.

Being photographed gets easier with time. Not to worry- I will teach you how to feel comfortable in front of the camera.
I’ll walk you through how the process works before we even get to your wedding day.
I'll tell you what to do, what not to do and after a while you won't even notice me. For real!
I mostly photograph you with a documentary approach, which means that I am shooting your wedding day as it happens. We will carve out time to get more formal photos and to create some really cool shots by incorporating nature as much as possible. Don't worry- I will guide you through these parts of the day!

Your wedding photos will look like and feel like your wedding. If a stranger were to look at your photos, they would get a sense of what it felt like to be there.
There are are more professional words that I could use, but...this why people hire me :)
Fun. Un-Cheesy. Natural. Cool. Real.
My style, in a nutshell....you will get a good idea of this is you look around this website, on Instagram and on Facebook (except for it will be you, your people and surroundings).
What they won't look like- Pinterest. If you like this, I can help find the perfect photographer, there is absolutely nothing wrong with this (it's just not my style!).

I’ve been shooting wedding since 2013, and making photos my whole life.
How many weddings do I photograph each year?: 10-15
What else do I shoot? Births, brand new babies (fresh 48 sessions), families and brands.
Did you know that there is no formal why to become a photographer? That said, I believe that we are at our best when we are learning and I take courses every year. The way I photograph and run my business will evolve as long as I keep learning though technical photography course, business courses, webinars. workshops, conferences and even by second shooting with other photographers.

The when & where to maximize your time enjoying your wedding
We generally plan for this:
1 1/2 hours with the couple and your wedding party
30 mins family photos
30 mins at sunset
We will sort all of this well before your wedding and this will vary depending on what your wedding celebration looks like.

Heck yes!
After photographing you, editing/post processing is the final step in creating your final image. I use Adobe Lightroom to adjust lighting and composition as needed. The type of editing I do makes colors brighter, blacks and whites punchier, and give a consistent look to your photos.

These photos are important & also very quick.
Let’s face it- none of us will be around forever. I have had many clients message me a year or more after their wedding to tell me that the photos of them with their relative was the last photo they have.
With a bit of planning we can make sure you and your family have these important photos...with all the possible family member groupings. This part is important/magical-solution to getting evrythign you desire- please write out a list of family member names and group combinations, and assign someone who knows your family to manage it. Not kidding- every time I've photographed a wedding without a list, there has been a missing person or combination. Let's never let that happen again!

Here's the thing. I truly believe that you will get the best representation of YOUR personalities and story if I devote my time to what is naturally unfolding in front of us.
What we will do is go through a detailed questionnaire about the flow of your wedding, that way I will be able to photograph everything and everyone that is important to you- and YOUR photos will someday be another couples inspo.
I want to know who is important, if there is anything, place or ritual that is important to you and your partner. I also want to know what is not important. What we will do is go through a detailed questionnaire about the flow of your wedding, this will cover all of those important pieces.
I will always try to get you outside when the sun starts to go down for some creative portraits- this can be worked into the overall plan. We want that glow and color. If there is no sun, we will sort that! Click here to see what I mean :)

It's up to you!
(and sometimes up to me)
I shoot about 50% of my weddings alone, and 50% with an assistant/second shooter. The benefit for you is variety in your photos. For larger weddings, darker spaces that might need extra lighting and situations where more than one person needs to be photographed at the same time, two photographers are required. I always work with photographers who I trust to ensure the quality of your photographs is consistent.
